The Early Years
In 1980, the Florida construction market was a fraction of what it is today. But even then, the fundamentals of a good trucking company were the same: reliability, honesty, and hard work. The Disney family built their reputation one load at a time, earning the trust of contractors and developers across the Tampa Bay area through consistent performance and straightforward business dealings.
Growing With Florida
As Florida grew, so did T. Disney Trucking. The state’s population boom, infrastructure expansion, and commercial development created an ever-increasing demand for aggregate materials and the trucks to move them. We expanded from one yard to four, from a handful of trucks to a network of over 1,000 haulers, and from serving Tampa to covering the entire state. But growth was never the goal in itself. The goal was always to serve our customers better. Opening a Fort Myers yard was not about getting bigger. It was about getting material to Southwest Florida job sites faster. Building our hauler network was not about bragging rights. It was about having the capacity to handle any project our customers needed.
Three Generations of Family
What makes T. Disney Trucking different from a corporate fleet is that this is a family business, run by real people who have spent their careers building something they are proud of. Three generations of the Disney family have guided this company, and that continuity shows in how we operate. We think long-term. We invest in our people. We maintain our equipment.
